Can I enter on the day? There will NOT be entries available at race registration for any Ring of Fire distance once online entries close.
How much does it cost to enter? Please check the individual distance pages for prices unique to each distance.

When entering one of our events, you will be required to accept our ‘Waiver & Event Terms‘, which outlines important information we encourage all participants to read this carefully before finalising their event registration. This includes details around refund timelines and partial refund eligibility. To be fair and equitable to all, we adhere strictly to the terms set out in the waiver and are unable to make exceptions. By completing your entry, you are also agreeing to our participation rules – including the condition that in any dispute, the Event Manager’s decision will be final.

Is there an option for event insurance to protect your entry should you have to withdraw?

I took out event entry insurance and now I need to withdraw and make a claim. What do I do?
You can make a claim by clicking here. You will need to provide evidence of injury/illness when submiting your claim. Please also email entries@rof.co.nz to withdraw and request proof of withdrawal to attach to your claim application.

Is there a pre-race briefing? Yes, and it is compulsory to attend. CLICK HERE for details.

Can I enter on the day? No. There will be no entries available once online registration closes.

What compulsory gear do I need to have? CLICK HERE
Will my jacket pass gear check? CLICK HERE
Is there a minimum standard for Hi Vis vests? • Fluorescent colour: Yellow, orange, or lime • Reflective strips: Minimum of two reflective bands visible from both the front and back • 360-degree visibility: Reflective material must be visible from all directions when worn • Worn over outer clothing: Must fit over jackets or packs so that reflective strips remain visible • Condition: Clean and in good condition with reflective strips clearly visible. What is a thermal/survival bag? It is similar to an emergency blanket but bigger, so you can put your whole body into it. CLICK HERE to see an example of one

Who sells the compulsory gear we need?
Any good outdoors retailer will have the gear you’re after and have informed staff to help you pick the right gear for you. If you’re keen to support those that support us and get your official Ring of Fire merinos from Opus Fresh.
Is there a bag/gear drop off at the start/finish line? Yes, there is some form of bag/gear drop for each event. Any gear/bags at the start line must be put onto the gear bus and it will be transported to your fnish line for collection.
Is there a drop bag service at aid stations? Yes for selected aid stations only though. Please check your specific event page below for more detail.

Start Line Busses:
If you are a 60km solo runner, or you are running Leg 2 or 3 of the 100km Relay you will be taking one of the official event buses to your start line.
The start line for the 60km solo and legs 2 & 3 of the 100km relay are NOT accessible to support crew vehicles so you MUST be on these buses to get to your start line. Bus departure times are available HERE and on your specific event pages.
Finish Line Busses:
If you are running Leg 1 or 2 of the 100km Relay you will be taking one of the official event shuttles back to Ohakune. These shuttles will run regularly from the finish line and return you to The Powderhorn Chateau, Mangawhero Terrace, Ohakune.

There will be toilets at the start & finish lines for all events. All aid stations will have hut toilet access or portaloos.
